POST-SECONDARY CORRESPONDENTS
Are you passionate about science, technology, engineering or mathematics?
Are you currently attending a Canadian Post-Secondary School?
Above all, do you want to help lead the youth science movement at your school?
Then
maybe you should be a SMARTS Post-Secondary Correspondent!
Post-Secondary Correspondents are motivated students who lead the youth science movement in their communities.
As a Post-Secondary Correspondent, you will be one of the official SMARTS youth volunteers for your entire campus! Your role involves various types of science promotion to local students (e.g. presenting workshops to local schools and promoting involvement in SMARTS). Please see the Downloads area at the bottom of this page to learn about the complete role of a Post-Secondary Correspondent.
As a SMARTS Post-Secondary Correspondent, you will gain tremendous life experiences and leadership skills. You may also receive prominent recognition for your work. This experience will be an excellent resume builder and looks great for scholarship/graduate applications. You will also be eligible to win one of our prestigious SMARTS Post-Secondary Correspondents Awards at the end of each year.
As well, in return for your commitment to SMARTS, the Youth Science Foundation Canada will be pleased to offer you letters of reference and a certificate at the end of the year.
